Quick Guide

  1. Right click on the Reminder
  2. A menu will appear and select Create Reminders
  3. The reminder box will appear. Give a the opportunity to record a reminder.  For example.   Collect a Parking Permit or Visit with two people.
  4. Priority Type: Will be set to Normal Priority: Normal priority reminders are automatically shown to all users at this organisation.

NOTE:  This is not to record Safeguarding, as Reminders appear in the Patients Record’s Home screen and seen when making new Visit /Appointment.

Using Reminders for Key Codes:

  1. Tick ‘patient door access key code’ within the Nursing Assessment template under ‘maintain safe environment’ – to record that this information is known.
  2. There should be a link within the template to create a reminder. You can then create a ‘normal priority’ reminder with the keycode number included.

NOTE: The keycode reminder should be removed as part of the discharge process so it doesn’t remain on the patient record. You should also inform the patient verbally that the information is kept securely in line with the Information Security Policy and will be removed when the patient is discharged.
