Quick Guide

1. Open a Patient’s record within PowerChart.

2. Click on Treatment Escalation Plan in the blue menu

3. Click on the + button in the Treatment Escalation and Resus Status component and select Treatment Escalation Plan and Resuscitation Status.

4. Select “DNACPR” to the “What is the resuscitation plan?” question.

5. Tick “No” to the “Is this a copy of a valid community/paper DNACPR?” question.

6. Select the Escalation plan

7. Select if a Mental Capacity Assessment is necessary.

8. Click on the DNACPR Decision page and select a reason for DNACPR decision.

9. Complete the DNACPR discussion fields.

10. Select the countersignature required in the Signing page of the form.

11. Click the green tick to sign form.

12. Refresh the Advance Care Planning Window.

• Key details from the form are now visible in the work page.

• The Resus status in the blue banner bar has updated followed by today’s date.
