How to document when a medication dose cannot be given in the Patient Record
- To record when the scheduled dose of a medication has not been given, click on the dose box to open the drug administration pop-up window
- Tick the Not Given tick box at the bottom of the window

- In the Reason mandatory field, select the appropriate reason from the drop down

- If the reason you have been unable to give the scheduled dose is not listed, select Other (Record Comments) then click the Comments button to add the details

- Sign the documentation using the green tick in the top left hand corner of the window
