Urinary Catheter assessment and HOUDINI
Scenario
The following guidance shows how to record an assessment and HOUDINI on a Urinary Catheter in PowerChart. This guidance assumes the catheter insertion has already been recorded.
Instruction
- With a patient record open, click on Assessment/ Fluid Balance in the blue menu.
- Click on the relevant navigator band, e.g. Adult Lines – Devices.
- Select Urinary Catheter.
- Look for the current active documentation.
- Double click on the field in the Activity row.
- Select Assessment.
- The Urinary Catheter Indications field will open, where the HOUDINI indication(s) can be selected.
- Complete all relevant fields related to the assessment and then click Sign.
