How to place a lung function test on an inpatient encounter.

  1. From within the patient record, on the correct encounter, click on New Order Entry from the Workflow or Add from Requests/Care Plans.
  2. In the Search field, type Lung Function – you will see various Lung Function options appear.
  3. Select Lung Function Test Full Order Set.
  4. Select the component/s you require by clicking on the tick box and then click OK.
  5. Click the order basket and a summary of order(s) will be shown.
  6. Click Sign. Note, if mandatory information is missing, a new screen will display.
  7. Select the order(s) missing information to fill in details.
    You must at least fill in the mandatory fields (highlighted in yellow) to place the order.
  8. Click Sign.
