Inserting a Line, Tube, Drain or Device

1. From Assessments/Fluid Balance, select the appropriate iView/Navigator band; either Adult, Paediatric , Recovery or ICU Lines-Devices
2. Select Peripheral IV
3. Click on the Repeatable Group Button
4. Double click in the blue field at the top of the column to activate it (this will open a pop up window where the insertion details can be added; site, laterality and catheter size)
   
5. Activity will be Insertion
6. Document the details of the insertion
   
7. Sign the documentation
