No. There is no automated way. Some Badgernet documents are copied to DocStore but they are not going to the GNCR from there. Badgernet will eventually share directly with the GNCR.
Fetal instrumental/ operative birth details. SM: See “3.003 BP Intrapartum Care” process map for a list of all forms available
Known issue that completed fields do not populate the same field on other forms.
“It’s the responsibility of the sonographer to generate the grow chart
This is entered into the note called ‘USS’ in Badger. ”
“Not giving management plan for premature birth being high risk
The management plans are not yet configured and are a work in progress ”
e.g. <34 weeks at booking appointment 1. If less than 34 weeks at booking appointment and this was the woman's first appointment then this would be recorded in the risk assessment as late booker. 2. If a woman is presenting to maternity services in labour at <34 weeks then a pre term pre-term birth preparation checklist auto displays after completion of the admission note, which is essentially a risk assessment for women presenting in pre-term labour
It was designed this way to ensure “Shoulder Dystocia” question is answered.
No. The SBAR Handover form does not generate a report that can be sent. Neither can the Delivery suite handover summary be sent. Clinical management decision if the handover form would need to be done in BadgerNet, PowerChart or both. To my knowledge, this will move to BadgerNet entirely.
Inform the Digital Midwife. Local administrators can delete notes if necessary. For other mistakes, correct the note.
Yes. There is no change in process. Consent for taking the blood and the associated tests is also required and will need to be documented.
Yes. NIPE does not have an interface and will need to be completed in both places.
Various fields are not populated. These are known issues that we cannot do anything locally about.
Search for “instrumental”. For other available forms look at 3.003 BP Intrapartum Care (process flow) where they are listed.
Some forms can be locked. All of them have an audit trail that shows the changes made and by whom.
No. It will not be possible to order bloods from Badgernet. Current process will need to be followed but record the offering, taking etc. in BadgerNet
If CO offer status is not completed it appears as a clickable link on the report. Clicking the link opens the observations form which does not have CO Offer status on it (it’s actually on the antenatal booking form). It is a Known Issue that the link to the mandatory field does not necessarily lead you directly to it.
Known issue. Avoid moving the BadgerNet application. Close additional instances if a restart was necessary.
It shows in the Full Notes section.
The list can be refined by post code, GP Surgery or Team (but only Nova is an option)
Who completes the initial Labour Assessment – delivery suite or MAU bearing in mind woman is not actually admitted until they arrive on delivery suit?
Same as whomever does it currently. The woman does not need to be admitted to start documenting the labour assessment.
Not from go-live but it will eventually. For now, please record manually on the Blood form
BadgerNet but they cannot be printed from a cart. Use a PC or laptop instead.
Continue current process but it is not necessary for getting a baby NHS number. Manual NHS number process should be carried out instead.
Could be considered for a change request but we cannot change it.
No change to current processes regarding the communication with GPs.
Choose one of the other options instead. Most apply to midwifery and are subtypes
Look at the Labour and Birth Summary tab for all times
Community midwives will need to be online i.e. work with BadgerNet in online mode at least once a day, for the sync to take place. Additionally, if a patient record is available, it can be documented in. No appointment needs to be downloaded first.
WHO checklist is on paper in the rest of the Trust. If in doubt complete on paper and in BadgerNet for now.
Not used at Newcastle
Currently unable to. However, you can search for the ‘induction of labour’ note using the enter new note feature as a work around (and start the new note with 4th cycle)
Yes
Available by searching for PPH (in Full Notes once completed)
Equivalent to current paper Labour Line file
There is no interface between the two. If the information is needed in both systems, it will need to be recorded in both. GPs do not have access to BadgerNet. Once BadgerNet shares into the GNCR, this might change.
Documents that were sent from BadgerNet to DocStore can be found in the Menu / Reports / Archived Reports. However, also showing are those that were saved but are not on the list to be sent to DocStore.
It can only be generated for one baby and needs to be manually created for the other babies in the same pregnancy.
Currently they do this on Systmone.
Complete in BadgerNet, print out and scan into SystmOne.
The “Blood Tests, Results and Actions” form should be used. There is an option of Haemacue
They will not get recorded automatically. The clinician will have to do so. The “Blood Tests, Results and Actions” form should be used if at all possible. A result arriving from a different lab could also be scanned in / uploaded.
If the print preview is empty, a blank page will be printed. This issue is caused by multiple screen set up. Try moving BadgerNet to a different screen and attempt to print again.
From within the Postnatal Assessment Form the Baby Daily Exam Form link refers to Baby Examination Form. These Forms are the same.
DO NOR USE TRANSFER OF CARE FORM/NOTE FOR ANTENATAL DISCHARGES. This is for postnatal discharges only
