How to document an Ultrasound scan in BadgerNet including viewing existing Viewpoint Reports

Viewing Viewpoint Reports

  1. In the pregnancy record, navigate to Pregnancy Summary in the left menu
  2. In the Scan Results section, select the scan report you wish to view
  1. In the Scanned Document window, click the document icon
  1. The pdf report will now be visible. It can be printed if required by clicking the print icon to the top left

Documenting an Ultrasound Scan

  1. In the Enter new note… search to the top left search for ‘uss‘ or ‘ultrasound‘ and select the Ultrasound Scan note to open
  1. You will record a minimal dataset on BadgerNet. What you record will depend on the type of scan being documented, all other fields can be left blank/ incomplete

Dating

  1. Date and time of scan,
  2. Name of sonographer,
  3. Type of scan
  4. Number of babies on scan
  5. Any abnormalities identified on scan (as free text)
  6. Placental position and placental site
  7. EDD

Anomaly

  1. Date and time of scan
  2. Name of sonographer,
  3. Type of scan
  4. Number of babies on scan (if not pulled through)
  5. Any abnormalities identified on scan (choosing Anomaly as the scan type will create a specific section to record anomalies)
  6. Placental position and placental site

Growth

  1. Date and time of scan
  2. Name of sonographer
  3. Type of scan
  4. Number of babies on scan (if not pulled through)
  5. Any abnormalities identified on scan (as free text)
  6. Placental position and placental site
  7. EFW
  1. Following the dating scan and saving the USS note, the grow chart should then be available on the pregnancy summary screen in the ‘Fetal care’ section
  2. On completion of a growth scan, once the USS note is saved the grow chart will automatically pop up with where the estimated fetal weight has plotted
