How to cancel an order in the Patient Record in PowerChart from Requests/Care Plans.

  1. From within the patient record, on the correct encounter, click on Requests/ Care Plans to view orders.
  2. Make sure the Display filter is set to either ‘All Active Orders‘ or ‘All Orders (All Statuses)‘.
  3. Locate the order that you wish to cancel in the list of orders and either:
    • rightclick the order and select Cancel/ DC.
    • click on the black tick to the left of the order.
  4. Complete the details at the bottom of the screen, e.g. the reason for cancellation.
  5. Click Orders for Signature.
  6. Click Sign to the bottom right of the screen.
