Setting up Assessments/ Fluid Balance
Changes made to your preferences in the Assessments/ Fluid Balance screen will remain the same for every patient
- Click the View drop down menu at the top of the screen
- At the bottom of the drop down list hover your mouse over the Layout option
- Select the Navigator Bands option from the sub-menu
- The pop up that appears is divided into two sections: Available Document Types and Current Document Types
- Select the navigator bands you wish to view from the Available Document Types window on the left and move them to the Current Document Types window on the right using the central arrow buttons
- To remove navigator bands from the Assessments/ Fluid Balance screen, select them in the Current Document Types window on the right and move them back into the Available Document Types window on the left using the arrow buttons
Tip: when moving navigator bands between the two windows, more than one navigator band can be selected at once to speed up the process
- The list of navigator bands in the Current Document Types window can be ordered using the arrow buttons on the right – you can only move one item at a time up and down the list, multi-select will not work
Tip: Whatever is at the top of the list in the Current Document Types window will be what you see first when you open the Assessments/ Fluid Balance screen. It is recommended that you put the navigator band you will use the most at the top of the list
- Click OK
- A pop-up will appear telling you that changes will not be displayed until the application is closed and restarted – this does not mean re-start PowerChart! Click OK
- To see your changes, close and re-open the Patient Record then select Assessments/ Fluid Balance from the dark grey menu on the left. Your changes will now be displayed.
Your ward or department may have specific navigator bands that are used, particularly in specialist areas.
