4. Autotext Public Phrases
Public Phrases are added by a system administrator and can be used by all staff without needing to add this to your personal autotext library.
Finding a Public Phrase
- Navigate to your Workflow page (found within patient record).
- Go to a text entry section (e.g. Clinical Summary, Examination Findings, Handover Details…).
- Select the Manage AutoText button immediately above the text box on the far right of the formatting options bar:

- The Manage Auto Text window will open.
- Select the Public Phrases tab.
- All public phrases are listed and can be browsed or searched.
- Select an item to view a preview.
Using a Public Phrase
- Go to the text box or document you wish to insert the autotext into.
- Type the trigger for the public phrase (e.g. @DHtreatmentplan).
- With the required abbreviation selected, hit enter or double click to insert the Autotext.
