Guidance for completing essential safety checks for NG Tubes

Before completing checks:

1. Ensure Lines/Drains/Tubes component is visible in your workflow
2. Select the relevant tube in the Tubes/Drains section
3. Check that the NG Tube has been signed as safe to use
4. Check the recorded Length of NG Tube at nostril 

Recording completion of safety checks:

1. Go to Assessments/ Fluid Balance
2. Navigate to the Gastrointestinal Tubes section 
3. Double click in the Activity section and select Ongoing Care

4. Select ‘Yes’ to the Safe Placement Checks question
5. Complete the Safe Placement Checks assessment
