Overview of the Drug Chart screen used to document the administration of prescribed medications for a patient

 

 

  1. Date Range – this can be changed by right clicking the date range and selecting a new date range
  2. Current time column
  3. Previously documented medication dose
  4. Scheduled dose – each scheduled medication dose will appear in its own time column. If the medication has previously been documented as given the date and time of the most recent previous dose will show in the box
  5. Overdue dose – the dose box will turn red if the current time is more than 2 hours past the scheduled dose time and nothing has been documented
  6. PRN medications – appear in green, as there is no schedule the next dose box will appear in the current time column
  7. Continuous/ Titratable medications – as with PRN medications there is no schedule so the next dose box will appear in the current time column
