From the Medication List menu

1. Search for the medication and select the correct Order Sentence
2. The Dosage Calculator screen will open displaying the patient’s height or weight if recorded
3. If the patient’s weight has not been previously recorded, enter the patient’s weight in the Actual Weight field
4. Check the Calculated dose, Reduced dose, Target dose and Final dose fields are correct and then click Apply Dose
5. Click the Done button within the drug search dialogue box. Complete order details
6. Click the Sign button once the drug order form has been completed and checked for accuracy
7. Click the Refresh button at the top right to complete the medication order

From the New Order Entry component on the Workflow:

1. Search for the medication and select the correct Order Sentence
2. The Dosage Calculator screen will open displaying the patient’s height or weight if recorded
3. If the patient’s weight has not been previously recorded, enter the patient’s weight in the Actual Weight field 
4. Check the Calculated dose, Reduced dose, Target dose and Final dose fields are correct and then click Apply Dose
5. Click the Done button within the drug search dialogue box
6. Click the basket symbol at the top right of the workflow screen then click Sign
7. Complete order details then click Sign

Ensure that the final dose is not impossible to calculate for administration (for example 195.2mg – this figure would be impossible to physically make up the medication)
