Send a Reminder (without Endorsement)
How to send a Reminder (without Endorsement) in Message Centre
You would use this method for the following scenarios:
- Secretary would like to inform a Consultant of an important result
- Clinician would like to send themselves or someone else a reminder
- Open Message Centre, then open a result and look for Create tab in the top left ‘Reminder’
A Reminder / Task opens

- The name of the patient is populated
- The destination is defaulted to the Recipient’s inbox
- A recipient can be chosen from the ‘ Personal Address list’ after the clicking into the ‘To’ box. N.B. Choose yourself as the recipient by ticking ‘include me’
- The message can be sent with High priority
- A subject should be added
- A due date can be set if required.
3. Click on Send.
4. Return to Message Centre Inbox. Don’t forget to press Refresh button
5. The reminder will be been added to the Inbox of the recipient. Displaying in priority indicator, the subject entered earlier, the due date etc
- Overdue items go red
- A reminder that has been dealt with can be marked as completed which removes it form the list.
Consultant: The consultant, having received this reminder, can now click on ‘Select Patient’ which then display only items for that patient in Message Centre. This could be a quick way of finding all result messages for that patient:
