Did you know that you can create a repository of autotext within Fluency Direct? These autotext can be used anywhere including MS Office, Notepad and the Electronic Patient Record’s ad hoc forms, workflow free text fields and both Document Creation and Document Viewing!
How to create autotext:
Press Play on the SpeechMike Pro and say “open commands”.
(Use Play—not Record—when giving commands.)
Select your personal command group (“Your Firstname Your Surname’s Commands”).
Click + Add (top right).
Give the command a name in the format of “Insert <Name>”.
Keep it simple and easy to pronounce.
Start with a verb (here we have used “insert”), capitalise each word, spell out numbers.
In Steps, choose Text, then enter or dictate your text.
Optional: In Details, add a description or set where the command works.
Click Apply, then click OK.
How to use autotext:
Place the cursor where you wish to insert autotext.
