This guide will give an overview of the Staff Noticeboard on the new Intranet.<\/p>\n

Accessing the Staff noticeboard<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. From the intranet homepage, scroll to the top and within the grey bar you will see the \u2018Staff noticeboard\u2019 text. Click on the text.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. By default, you will always be presented with the \u2018Forum\u2019 tab which contains a list of all the existing forums, plus the topics and posts within them.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Navigating the staff noticeboard<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    There are four tabs within the blue bar and a search box to the right.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Forum \u2013 this section provides a view of all the current forums, topics and posts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Profile – this section is your profile page which displays activity information i.e. topics started, replies created, likes received<\/li>\n
    3. Members \u2013 this section contains a list of all members of the staff noticeboard.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Subscriptions \u2013 this section allows you to manage your subscriptions and view any posts or topics you are subscribed to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Activity \u2013 this sections displays a list of the most recent updates to the staff noticeboard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Forum<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Below the navigation bar, you will see a list of forums and categories which contain topics and posts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. The solid blue bars represent a specific <\/span>forum<\/span><\/b>. Our forum contains the following forums:<\/span>
        \n<\/span>a) Rules of Conduct<\/span>
        \n<\/span>b) Our new intranet<\/span>
        \n<\/span>c) Staff adverts<\/span>
        \n<\/span>d) Trustwide discussion<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. The blue text represents a specific <\/span>category<\/span><\/b>. For example, in the \u2018Staff Adverts\u2019 forum, there are three categories: Buy and sell, Wanted items and services, and Events, research and fundraising. Below the name of each category, you will see a short description of the types of topics and posts to expect. You will also see a count of how many topics and posts are within each category.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. On the right-hand side, there is a column called \u2018<\/span>Last post\u2019. <\/span><\/i>Here you will get a preview of the most recent post including the title, how long ago it was posted, and the author.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      4. At the bottom, there is a key to help you filter and identify content. Here you can click \u2018Mark All Read\u2019 to clear off the notifications or click \u2018Show Unread Topics\u2019 to filter your view to only show you topics which you haven\u2019t read yet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Rules of Conduct<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        It is important you familiarise yourself with the Rules of Conduct prior to using the staff noticeboard. This can be accessed in two ways. Firstly, by clicking the link in the text below the \u2018Staff Noticeboard\u2019 title which says \u2018click here to read our <\/span>rules of conduct<\/span>\u2019; and secondly, by clicking the \u2018Rules of conduct\u2019 category and then clicking into the topic.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
