This guide will give an Overview of the News Section on the new Intranet.<\/p>\n

Overview<\/div>\n

The News section is a new feature of the intranet and is the repository for any new information and ongoing updates. It replaces the rotating Features and Advert listings on from the old intranet homepage, similar to the carousel on the old intranet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two methods of navigating to the News section:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Latest Trust news block<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the homepage, there is a block for \u2018Latest Trust news\u2019. On the right-hand side, below the older titles, is a link named \u2018View all Trust news\u2019. Click this link to navigate to the News section.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can also navigate to the News section by clicking the \u2018News\u2019 tab within the navigation bar at the top of the page.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

News landing page<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The News landing page displays a series of news posts from across the Trust. These are displays newest (at the top) to oldest (at the bottom).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Filtering<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To refine the results of the News page, you can also choose from a number of filtering options. To filter the page, click the \u2018Filter news\u2019 button to open the options.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You should see a new box with three filtering options:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Filter by category i.e. Health & Wellbeing \u2013 click in the box to select an option.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Filter by department i.e. IT Security \u2013 click in the box to select an option.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Published after i.e. 17\/05\/2024 \u2013 click into the box and type your preference.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Once you are happy with your selection, click the \u2018Filter results\u2019 button to reload the page to your criteria. You can click \u2018Reset filters\u2019 if you would like to go back to viewing the unfiltered page.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    News posts<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can view a News post by clicking on the title i.e. Password reset extending to yearly. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
