This guide will gives an overview of the Homepage of the new Intranet<\/p>\n

Overview <\/div>\n

When you first log in to the new intranet, you will see the homepage. The homepage is the default page you will see whenever you open the intranet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The homepage includes many new sections and features, this document will show you all the different areas and what they are used for.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alert \u2013 Banner<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

When there is <\/span>important information<\/span> to communicate<\/span>, you may see a solid yellow banner at the very top of the screen<\/span> –<\/span> this is a banner alert. Depending on the content of the banner, you may be able to click on the text to direct you to a content page. Please look out for these banners as they will <\/span>contain<\/span> important information<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the top of the homepage, you will see a grey banner with a number of links.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    3. Staff Directory \u2013 replaces the existing telephone directory, a repository for staff contact information<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Policies and guidelines \u2013 links to a page where you can navigate to the Trust Policies or Clinical Guidelines databases.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. News \u2013 includes all news posts from across all the clinical and corporate services<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Staff support and engagement\u2013 an area where staff can find more information on support and how to get involved within the Trust<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Alert \u2013 Homepage takeover<\/div>\n

      When there is critical information to communicate, you may see a large solid red banner below the navigation \u2013 this is a homepage takeover alert. Depending on the content of the banner, you may be able to click on a button or link to direct you to a content page.       The next section includes a number of quick, popular links which can also be used to navigate to different areas of the intranet.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Latest Trust news<\/div>\n

      Below is the Latest Trust news section which includes an extract of the latest news posts from across the Trust. These are displayed from most recent (top post) to lease recent (bottom text on the right).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      You can click into a news post to open it and read the full post. Alternatively, you can click the \u2018View all Trust news\u2019 link to navigate to the News section to see all the news posts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Promotions\u00a0<\/div>\n

      This is a temporary section of the intranet homepage. When there is a promotion published, it will appear on your homepage. When there is no promotion, this section will disappear and jump straight to the Department updates.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
