Before registering a new patient you must ensure the patient is not already registered.<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>In PM Office, from the <strong>Conversation Tab<\/strong>, double click to select <strong>Add Person<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Search<\/strong> for the patient<\/li>\r\n<li>Once you are satisfied that this is a new patient you will be registering, choose <strong>Add Patient<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>The <strong>Organisation<\/strong> field requires you to add the hospital where you are based<\/li>\r\n<li>A warning will ask if you are <strong>certain<\/strong> this is a new patient you are registering\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>If you are <strong>uncertain<\/strong> that this is a new patient, select <strong>Yes<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>If you are <strong>certain<\/strong> this is a new patient that has not been seen at this Trust in the past, select <strong>No<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Complete the <strong>Birth Date Entry<\/strong>, <strong>Date of Birth<\/strong> and <strong>Gender fields<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>In the <strong>GP Details<\/strong> field, type the name of the<strong> GP<\/strong> you wish to find, click the magnifying glass to<strong> search<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<li>In the <strong>top<\/strong> part of the screen, select the correct <strong>GP<\/strong>, at the <strong>bottom<\/strong> of this screen select the correct <strong>GP Practice<\/strong> \u2013 click OK. This will complete both the GP and the GP practice fields<\/li>\r\n<li>Add a <strong>telephone number<\/strong> into the CORRECT field.
