This Powerchart screen is designed to help clinicians manage both TTO prescribing<\/strong> and discharge summary letter<\/strong> process by patient within a ward list.<\/p>\n

<\/i> <\/span>The discharge summary letter is to be sent within 48 hours of discharge.<\/div><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Ward<\/strong> selection drop-down menu. No set up required as this is a pre-defined list.<\/li>\n
  2. Search<\/strong> – click here to update list. The last updated date and time is shown in blue text below the search button.<\/li>\n
  3. Search for Patient MRN or Name<\/strong> – may be useful if a lengthy list.<\/li>\n
  4. Patient<\/strong> – name and MRN. \u00a0Name is in blue, but unlike in other parts of the system where this indicates a hyperlink, clicking on the name will NOT open the patient’s record.<\/li>\n
  5. Service<\/strong> – this is the service within which the patient has been receiving care. The lead clinician assigned to the patient in this service is responsible for the discharge summary letter.<\/li>\n
  6. Discharged<\/strong> – if the patient has been discharged, the date and time this was actioned\u00a0will be displayed.<\/li>\n
  7. Meds <\/strong>– will either show \"\" to start TTO prescription process or \"\" to add or cancel prescriptions. See\u00a0Discharge Medications<\/a> for guidance.<\/li>\n
  8. Meds Updt<\/strong> – date and time of last conversion or edit. No date or time if not attempted.<\/li>\n
  9. Creator<\/strong> – name of staff initiating the discharge summary letter.<\/li>\n
  10. Updated<\/strong> – date and time discharge summary letter started or last edited. No date or time if not attempted.<\/li>\n
  11. Status<\/strong> – one of three states: Not Started<\/span><\/b>, <\/span>Draft<\/span><\/b>, and <\/span>Complete<\/span><\/b> (finalised and signed)<\/span>.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>Please refer to <\/span><\/span>Draft Documents<\/a> and Document Signing<\/a> for further guidance.<\/li>\n
  12. Action<\/strong> – will either show \"\" to start a discharge summary letter or \"\" to continue with an existing letter.<\/li>\n
  13. DS Required<\/strong> – defaults to Yes. Selecting No, if appropriate, excludes from clinical letter audit.<\/li>\n
  14. View <\/strong>– if a letter has been saved as draft, completed (finalised and signed) or sent, clicking here will open a pdf view of the document. It is not editable from here.<\/li>\n
  15. Tool bar – \"\" allows for searching via “Find” window, \"\" allow for zooming in and out or can specify by percentage and \"\" refreshes the ward list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
