  1. Click on the Appointment<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
  2. Type Cardiothoracic<\/strong> in the Appointment type<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the ellipse.<\/li>\n
  4. Select CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY TX F\/UP<\/strong> from the opening Appointment Type help window, then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the IOT<\/strong> Location in the Appointment Location field.<\/li>\n
  6. Select the ellipse in the Patient name field to open the Patient search window.<\/li>\n
  7. Type the patient\u2019s MRN<\/strong> in the MRN field.<\/li>\n
  8. Click Search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. Check the correct Patient<\/strong> details are now showing in the top right-hand side row – If correct, move on to stage 10, if not correct check you have typed in the correct MRN and repeat stage<\/li>\n
  10. Click Add Encounter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  11. Select Yes<\/strong> to the \u2018Is this a Waiting List encounter?\u2019.<\/li>\n
  12. Select Outpatient Referral<\/strong> then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  13. Right-click in the top left-hand corner of the page and select Add Episode<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  14. Select 18 Week Pathway<\/strong> then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  15. Double left-click on the new episode created.<\/li>\n
  16. Click Yes<\/strong> to the question \u2019Is this a New outpatient appointment?\u2019.<\/li>\n
  17. Select Yes<\/strong> for the UK Resident for 12 months? field \u2013 the Administrative Category will now automatically be populated with NHS<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  18. Click on the Referral<\/strong> Details tab and complete the following mandatory fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
