  1. Click on the Appointment<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
  2. Type Cardiothoracic<\/strong> in the Appointment type<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the ellipse<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Select CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY TX F\/UP<\/strong> from the opening Appointment Type<\/strong> help window, then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the IOT<\/strong> Location in the Appointment Location field.<\/li>\n
  6. Select the ellipse in the Patient name field to open the Patient search window.<\/li>\n
  7. Type the patient\u2019s MRN<\/strong> in the MRN field.<\/li>\n
  8. Click Search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  9. Check the correct Patient<\/strong> details are now showing in the top right-hand side row – If correct, move on to stage 10, if not correct check you have typed in the correct MRN and repeat stage 7.<\/li>\n
  10. Select the Outpatient Cardiothoracic encounter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  11. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  12. If the Future Requests\/Appointments window appears, click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  13. The patient\u2019s name will now appear in the Appointment<\/strong> column \u2013 you can select a specific Consultant and add any comments at this point.<\/li>\n
  14. Click Move<\/strong> to move the patient\u2019s appointment details across to the Work in progress<\/strong> column.<\/li>\n
  15. Select the appointment date<\/strong> and clinic time slot<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  16. Select Schedule<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  17. Click OK<\/strong> in the opening Schedule window.<\/li>\n
  18. The appointment slot now changes to an Orange<\/strong> colour \u2013 the slot is now reserved.<\/li>\n
  19. Select Confirm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  20. From the opening Confirm window select Consultant<\/strong> in the Correspondence Schedule Resource field \u2013 the consultant\u2019s name will appear on the letter sent to the patient.<\/li>\n
  21. Select No<\/strong> from the opening Wrong conversation window.<\/li>\n
  22. The appointment slot will now be showing Yellow<\/strong> confirming the appointment \u2013 Yellow signifies a follow -up appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
