Open Schapptbook<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click on Appointment<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Start typing in, the area of the Appointment Type<\/strong> – this speeds up the process of finding your Appointment Type.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click on the Ellipsis<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Select correct Appointment Type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Select Appointment location<\/strong> from the drop down options<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Click on the Ellipsis<\/strong> button to search for the patient.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Search for the patient by entering the Surname, Forename, Date of Birth<\/strong> and Gender<\/strong> – ensure you have entered the correct spelling for the Forename and Surname. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Click Search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Because your patient is new, you will see a No patients found<\/strong> message in the right hand side column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. Click on the Add Person<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Select Yes<\/strong> to the ‘Is this a Waiting List encounter? ‘<\/em>question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  13. Select Outpatient Referral<\/strong> from the drop down list, then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  14. Select 18<\/strong> Week Wait Pathway<\/strong> as the Pathway Type – select Maternity<\/strong> if it’s a maternity referral, then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  15. Click Yes<\/strong> to the ‘Is this a New outpatient appointment?<\/em>‘ question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  16. A message will appear informing you you’re about to register a new patient and asking if you wish to cancel and research again – if you’re sure your search details are correct, select No<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  17. The Outpatient Referral window has now opened, if you don’t see the yellow mandatory fields, right click in the top right hand side of the screen and place a tick in the Highlight Required Fields<\/strong> box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  18. Complete the mandatory fields<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
