Personal Note Type List set up<\/h1>\n
Scenario<\/div>\n

You want to create a personal note type list allowing you to easily choose the correct note type when creating a clinical note in PowerChart.<\/p>\n

Open the New Note screen<\/div>\n

In order to select the correct menu option, you need to begin on the New Note screen. This can be done the following ways:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • From the workflow, scroll to the bottom and click Select other Note.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • From the blue menu, click on Add+<\/strong> beside Note Viewing.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • From the blue menu, click on Note Viewing<\/strong> and then click the Add+<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Customise the list<\/div>\n
          \n
        1. From the New Note<\/strong> screen, select View<\/strong> menu on the top menu bar .<\/li>\n
        2. Select Customise<\/strong> at the bottom of the list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. In the Available note type, select the note type<\/strong> you wish to add.<\/li>\n
          2. Use the second arrow<\/strong> button to move it into the right side of the window.<\/li>\n
          3. Repeat<\/strong> for all required note types.<\/li>\n
          4. At the top, select a Default Note Type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. Click Apply<\/strong> then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Use your customised list<\/div>\n

            1. Close<\/strong> the New Note window by clicking the x<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            2. Open<\/strong> the New Note window by clicking Add+<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            3. In the Note Type Filter List dropdown select, Personal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            4. In the Type<\/strong> dropdown, the select note types will display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Alternatively, the Note Type can be selected from the Sign\/Submit Note screen:<\/p>\n

              1. Complete your note and Click Sign\/Submit.<\/li>\n
              2. In the Note Type Filter List dropdown select, Personal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
              3. In the Type<\/strong> dropdown, the selected note types will display.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
