Reassign a Porter<\/h1>\n

Scenario<\/div>
\nPorters are assigned automatically by the system. If your service has a dedicated porter, you can request Porter Management permissions, which allow you to reassign porter tasks as needed. <\/p>\n

This guide describes how to reassign a porter.<\/p>\n

<\/i> To request Porter Management permissions, please raise an INC via the Service Portal<\/a>.<\/div>\n

  1. Make sure the Portering List gadget has been added. Select Personalisation<\/strong>, then My Gadgets<\/strong>, and choose Portering List<\/strong>. A blue tick will appear next to it, confirming that it has been added to your tab bar.

  2. Click on the Portering List<\/strong> tab and browse the list for the task of interest. Click in the Porter field<\/strong> to reveal the ellipsis symbol (…)

  3. Click on the ellipsis symbol<\/strong> and the Assign staff window will open.
    \n\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Select the porter<\/strong> you want to assign from the list on the left side of the window, then click the arrow<\/strong> in the centre. The porter will then appear in the Selected Staff<\/strong> list.

  5. Remove an assigned porter by selecting their name from the Selected Staff<\/strong> list and clicking the arrow<\/strong> in the centre. The porter will then be moved back to the Available Staff<\/strong> list.

  6. Click OK<\/strong> (bottom right of window).

  7. You have now successfully reassigned the porter.
