This order will remain in the status of &#8216;Proposal&#8217; until it is accepted by a prescriber. This guide shows the steps a dietician should follow to place the proposed order.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>In the Patient Record, click on the\u00a0<strong>Requests\/ Care Plans<\/strong>\u00a0menu item on the left\u00a0then click the\u00a0<strong>Add<\/strong>\u00a0button to the top left<\/li>\r\n<li>Enter search term in the\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Search<\/strong>\u00a0box e.g. Triomel \u2026., non-standard or bespoke to find individual orders\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Standard bags<\/strong> \u2013 commercially sourced PN e.g. Triomel these will have contents automatically listed<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Non-standard<\/strong> \u2013 bags produced by PPU with or without standard vitamins and trace elements<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Bespoke <\/strong>&#8211; bags produced by PPU with non-standard vitamins and trace elements<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"infoSection\"><i class=\"fa fa-info-circle\" style=\font-size:3rem\"><\/i>  For non-standard and bespoke bags all contents need to be stated.<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\r\n<li>Click the required option(s) and click on\u00a0<strong>Done<\/strong>\u00a0at the bottom right<\/li>\r\n<li>The orders for signature screen will open. This displays the order with two windows below it\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Order Details<\/strong>\u00a0window lists all of the orders previously selected. If you are ordering more than one PN prescription for the patient, details will have to be completed for each prescription.<\/li>\r\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Details<\/strong> window allows completion of each order details field. Required fields are highlighted in Yellow and on completion display in bold text. Other fields are optional. The required information will vary between PN types, with more information required for non-standard PN bags. Type the required values or select an option for each of the required Details. These will be a combination of list options, numeric values or freetext. If a particular component is not needed in the PN bag please state \u201c0\u201d.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"infoSection\"><i class=\"fa fa-info-circle\" style=\font-size:3rem\"><\/i>  The details available for each field can be altered by the pharmacy informatics team. If options need to be altered or expanded please contact the pharmacy informatics team.<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\">\r\n<li>Once all details are completed click on the\u00a0<strong>Sign<\/strong>\u00a0box (bottom right)\u00a0and click on refresh to the top right of the screen. If there is more than one order click on\u00a0<strong>Orders for signature<\/strong>\u00a0and then\u00a0<strong>Sign<\/strong>. The order(s) are placed with a status of \u201cProposal\u201d.<\/li>\r\n<li>The order is not active on the drug chart until it has been accepted by a prescriber.<\/li>\r\n<li>To withdraw the order, access the orders screen, highlight the proposed order, right click and select\u00a0<strong>Withdraw<\/strong>. This removes the order.<\/li>\r\n<li>Contact the prescriber and ask them to review the order and accept or reject the proposed order.<\/li>\r\n<li>Once an order is accepted if the details are to be changed the original order must be cancelled.
