From within the Patient record for the current Inpatient encounter:<\/p>\n

    1. Click on the patient’s location or encounter.<\/li>\n
    2. Check to see if there is an\u00a0Outpatient Referral<\/strong>\u00a0Visit Type for your treatment function showing.<\/li>\n
    3. If there is, proceed with the following steps.\n
        \n
      1. Double click on referral.<\/li>\n
      2. Click Yes to open outpatient encounter.<\/li>\n
      3. Place the order.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        If not, an outpatient appointment needs to be made by either a ward clerk, secretary or ABC.
