If the patient has arrived for that visit, select it from the window by clicking <strong>\u201cSelect\u201d, <\/strong>otherwise click<strong> \u201cAdd different visit\u201d <\/strong>if the patient has arrived for a different visit.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13508\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture20.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"335\" height=\"126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture20.png 335w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture20-300x113.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 335px) 100vw, 335px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Depending on whether you click on a visit or \u201cAdd different visit\u201d depends whether you need to select a <strong>Pathway<\/strong> once the assessment loads:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13509\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"328\" height=\"72\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture21.png 328w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture21-300x66.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 328px) 100vw, 328px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>NOTE: you cannot finalise or complete the assessment without selecting the pathway first. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the pathway has been selected (or you selected a visit), the full assessment will load.<\/p>\n<p>No matter which pathway is chosen, the same activities will load:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13510\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture22.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"313\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture22.png 313w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture22-300x203.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 313px) 100vw, 313px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you need to add extra activities to the assessment (such as presenting complaints), click <strong>\u201cMore activities\u201d <\/strong>on the left side of the screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13511\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture23.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"123\" height=\"41\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can then select the activity you\u2019d like to add by clicking the \u201c<em>Add<\/em>\u201d button. A tick will appear then you can click \u201c<strong>Done<\/strong>\u201d. It will then add the activity to the assessment. If you find that the activity requires adding often, you can add it as a favourite by clicking the <strong>star<\/strong> <strong>icon<\/strong> under \u201c<em>Set as favourite<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13512\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture24.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"73\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture24.png 602w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture24-300x36.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you have added it as a favourite, it can be clicked on to quickly add that activity to the assessment.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13513\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture25.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"44\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Completing_activities\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Completing activities<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Whenever you hover over an activity with the cursor, the section will highlight with a light blue colour. You can click into that activity to open it up and enter information.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13514\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture26.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"235\" height=\"58\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When an activity has been opened, the section will allow you to document in activity specific fields and each section will also show a \u201c<strong>Done<\/strong>\u201d button:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13515\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture27.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"64\" height=\"25\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clicking this button will minimise\/collapse the activity, tidying up the assessment neatly. If you need to go back into the section, simply click on the activity again.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Visual_Acuity_Distance_VA\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Visual Acuity (Distance VA)<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Click on Visual Acuity activity to record information.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13516\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture28.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"446\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture28.png 446w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture28-300x73.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clicking on the <strong>\u201cMore\u201d<\/strong> button will expand the section, and provide 2 extra areas: a free-text comment box for each eye, and the ability to change notation \/ specify method:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13517\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture29.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"82\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture29.png 308w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture29-300x80.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clicking on the <strong>\u201cAdd another\u201d <\/strong>text adds a separate test, which asks you to specify what type of test is being recorded:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13518\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture30.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"135\" height=\"116\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This functionality is useful when recording a test using more than one notation method, such as recording Snellen and LogMAR in one assessment.<\/p>\n<p>Recording Snellen<\/p>\n<p>To record the test, click on the VA box and then select the score:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13519\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture31.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"136\" height=\"162\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It then immediately asks you which correction method was used:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13520\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture32.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"119\" height=\"86\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select a method, and it will the duplicate method that onto the other eye. Click on the other eye\u2019s VA box to record it.<\/p>\n<p>If you are required to perform another test using the same notation but a different correction method, simply repeat this process in the boxes underneath your current test:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13521\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture33.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"476\" height=\"91\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture33.png 476w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture33-300x57.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 476px) 100vw, 476px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you are only required to do one eye, you can leave the VA box on the other eye (even if the correction method is filled in, it will be blank when you click \u201cDone\u201d)<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recording_ETDRS_Letter_score\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Recording ETDRS Letter score<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With the \u201c<strong>More<\/strong>\u201d button clicked, change the <strong>notation<\/strong> to <strong>ETDRS Letter score<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13522\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture34.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"24\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You may have to enable the letter scorer chart manually, by switching it on:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13523\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture35.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"103\" height=\"47\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>If this does not appear, you need to enable it first in your <strong>Tools &gt; Settings<\/strong> page.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13524\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture36.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"266\" height=\"45\" \/><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Once the scorer chart has been enabled, the chart will display directly underneath the test<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13525\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture37.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"172\" height=\"199\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ensure that the correct testing range is selected:<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13526\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture38.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"145\" height=\"28\" \/><br \/>\nIf you need to change letter chart, click the Settings icon,<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13527\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture39.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"33\" height=\"33\" \/> then choose a different chart:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13528\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture40.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"186\" height=\"112\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To record the test, click and drag the slider on the left side down to where the patient has scored to:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13529\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture41.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"113\" height=\"152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you click on a white tile, it will turn the tile green. If you click on a green tile, it will turn the tile red:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13530\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture42.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"112\" height=\"27\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once finished recording where the patient scored to, click the \u201c<strong>Score<\/strong>\u201d button up above:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13531\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture43.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"81\" height=\"33\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Doing so will enter the score into the VA box above, and it will immediately ask you which correction method was used:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13532\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture44.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"148\" height=\"32\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Repeat this process on the other eye as required<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: The patient\u2019s previous score is shown whilst completing the test:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13533\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture45.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"72\" height=\"52\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Drops_given_in_clinic\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Drops given in clinic<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Clicking on the \u201c<strong>Drops given in clinic<\/strong>\u201d opens up the activity and allows you to select a commonly given drop from a list, otherwise \u201c<strong>Show more drops<\/strong>\u201d can be clicked to show an exhaustive list of drops.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13534\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture46.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"454\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture46.png 454w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture46-300x71.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To administer a drop, click on the <strong>\u201cRight\u201d, \u201cBoth\u201d, or \u201cLeft\u201d <\/strong>button:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13535\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture47.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"178\" height=\"34\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When a button is clicked, the corresponding eye will show an administration of the drop (current time when button was clicked) and the drop which was selected (shown in between the boxes):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13536\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture48.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture48.png 602w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture48-300x55.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Free text comments box appears for any extra context or information (e.g: 1% given, 0.5% given)<\/p>\n<p><em>To retrospectively change the time, click on the time box and manually change the time to the correct time:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13537\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture49.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"115\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Change the time in the \u201c<strong>Time given<\/strong>\u201d field and enter a Batch number\/expiry date if possible. Click \u201c<strong>OK<\/strong>\u201d once finished.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"IOP_Recording_pressure\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">IOP (Recording pressure)<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To record pressures, click on the IOP activity section which will open up and look like the following:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13538\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture50.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"97\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture50.png 602w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture50-300x48.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Choose the method, then ensure the time of the recording is correct (it will automatically put the current time in the field from when you clicked into the activity). Enter the pressures on each respective eye:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13539\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture51.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"40\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>You can also state the score\u2019s reliability by clicking into the \u201c<strong>Reliability<\/strong>\u201d drop down boxes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To view past pressure information, click on the \u201c<strong>Previous<\/strong>\u201d button:<\/p>\n<p>This will open a pop-up window displaying all past pressures, and will allow you to manually enter a past IOP:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13540\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture52.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"457\" height=\"110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture52.png 457w, https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture52-300x72.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you are required to record a patient\u2019s <strong>pachymetry<\/strong>, click the <strong>\u201cMore\u201d<\/strong> button:<\/p>\n<p>The CCT fields will display below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13541\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture53.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"194\" height=\"29\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Refraction\"><\/span><div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Refraction<\/div><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To add a <strong>Refraction<\/strong> to the assessment, it must first be added manually from the <strong>\u201cMore activities\u201d<\/strong> section on the left side of the assessment. Click on the <strong>\u201cMore activities\u201d <\/strong>box:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13542\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture54.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"123\" height=\"41\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Find <strong>Refraction <\/strong>from the list of activities, then tick the box to its right. If you have not selected a Refraction default from your Settings &gt; Tools page, the Refraction type box will be empty. previously completed exam will show in blue text, along with its date of when it was recorded.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13547\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 419px) 100vw, 419px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To confirm that you would like to use these exams, click the <strong>\u201cConfirm\u201d <\/strong>button above the exams, otherwise click the <strong>\u201cCancel\u201d<\/strong> button:<\/p>\n<p>To add a <strong>new exam<\/strong> and <strong>record new data<\/strong>, search for the exam you are performing in the respective eye on the right eye, click into the \u201cSearch right eye findings\u201d box, type <strong>RAPD, <\/strong>then click on \u201c<strong>relative afferent pupillary defect<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img require manually entering data, such as the <strong>Ishihara test<\/strong>, repeat the process by clicking into the \u201cSearch both eyes findings\u201d box, type in \u201c<strong>Ishihara<\/strong>\u201d, then click on \u201c<strong>Ishihara score\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13550\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture62.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"70\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Ishihara score<\/strong> exam will be added to the <strong>Optic disc<\/strong> section for both eyes below:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13551\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture63.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"62\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To record the score manually, click on either the <strong>right eye Ishihara score<\/strong> or the <strong>left eye Ishihara score<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13552\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Picture64.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"216\" height=\"24\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Doing so will open up a section specific to adding extra information to this Ishihara score:<br \/>\n<em>Notice the Right tab is blue, after clicking on the <strong>right eye Ishihara score.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Click on \u201c<strong>Free text<\/strong>\u201d to manually enter the score:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13553\" (depending which eye you have clicked Free text on).
