How to document the removal of a Line, Tube, Drain or Device<\/div>\r\n\r\n

  1. In the line of the line\/tube\/device of interest, double click in the Activity\u00a0<\/strong>field.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

    <\/i> <\/span>You do not need to add a tick at the top of the column when starting the removal<\/div><\/span><\/p>\r\n
      \r\n
    1. Select Removal<\/strong>:
      \"\"<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
        \r\n
      1. Fields relevant to Removal will contain a diamond shape.\u00a0 The cursor will be on the first relevant field. Address fields as appropriate:<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

        1. Sign the data, making it a permanent part of the patient record, by clicking on the green tick<\/strong>:

          1. Right click<\/strong> on the name of the line\/tube\/device and select Inactivate<\/strong>.\u00a0 This will grey out and collapse the section here in Assessments\/Fluid Balance and indicate elsewhere in the Patient Record that it has been discontinued:
