  1. In the Patient Record, from the\u00a0Medication List<\/strong>\u00a0in the dark grey menu on the left, click the\u00a0Add<\/strong> button \"\"<\/li>\r\n
  2. The\u00a0Add Order<\/strong>\u00a0dialogue box will open. Select\u00a0Contains<\/strong>\u00a0from the drop-down menu and click into the Search <\/b>text box. Type the first letters of the medication that you would like to prescribe, such as amoxi to search for Amoxicillin<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    1. A list of relevant medication will appear, select the required medication link by clicking it once<\/li>\r\n
    2. Some medications will be displayed within an\u00a0Order Sentences<\/strong>\u00a0dialogue box, select the most appropriate Order Sentence and click the OK<\/strong> button\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      1. If the medication order process is complete click the\u00a0Done<\/strong> button to close the Add Order search window\u00a0<\/li>\r\n
      2. The medication\u00a0Order Details<\/strong>\u00a0form will display any mandatory \u2013 yellow \u2013 fields. These fields must be completed before the medication can be signed off.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

        1. To change the drug frequency, click the\u00a0Frequency<\/strong>\u00a0order detail. Alternatively, to reschedule administration times click the button to the right of the frequency drop-down\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

          1. The\u00a0Reschedule<\/strong>\u00a0dialogue box will open. Enter required administration times and click the OK button in the bottom right corner of the screen<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

            1. To enter information on alternative administration instructions click the\u00a0Order Comments<\/strong> tab \"\"<\/li>\r\n
            2. Enter alternative instructions as free text, this will be displayed on the drug chart and will be viewable by nursing staff when administering (charting) the medication<\/li>\r\n
            3. After completing all of the relevant order details information, click the\u00a0Sign<\/strong> button \"\"<\/li>\r\n
            4. Click the\u00a0Refresh<\/strong>\u00a0button in the top right corner of the screen. This commits the newly prescribed medication to the patient\u2019s record and records the medication as being Ordered within the medication list.
