Tear Off<\/h1>\n

Introduction<\/div>
\nTear off allows you to view any section of the patient record in a window separate to the rest of the record. This is particularly useful when creating a note or letter.<\/p>\n

Instruction<\/div>
\nFrom within a patient’s record in Powerchart:<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Current view will become the torn off window. e.g. Note Viewing<\/li>\n
  2. Click on Tear Off<\/strong> in the grey menu bar at top of window. <\/li>\n

  3. If Tear Off<\/strong> is not visible, you will need to enable the Action bar.<\/li>\n

    1. Click on View<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Click on Toolbar<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. click on Navigation Toolbar<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Click on Action bar<\/strong><\/li>\n

    5. The torn off window can now be dragged and resized to one side of the screen or onto a second screen.<\/li>\n

    6. The background window is the patient record, and you can select whichever section you wish to review.<\/li>\n
    7. Notice the tab representing the torn off window is no longer visible in the blue, left side menu.<\/li>\n
    8. To rejoin the torn off window to the record, simply click on the x to the top right of that window.<\/li>\n

    9. The tab is now visible again in the blue, left side menu.
