{"id":15817,"date":"2025-07-31T10:35:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T10:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/?page_id=15817"},"modified":"2025-11-20T12:40:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T12:40:16","slug":"accessing-a-pool","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/?page_id=15817","title":{"rendered":"Accessing a Pool"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Accessing a Pool<\/h1>\n<div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">Introduction<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead clinicians will receive results to endorse directly to their inbox in Message Centre.<\/li>\n<li>All clinicians can endorse either by 1) <a href=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/?page_id=15814\"> a Message Centre &#8220;pool&#8221;<\/a>, 2) <a href=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/?page_id=15964\">a Message Centre &#8220;proxy&#8221;<\/a> or 3) <a href=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/?page_id=15816\"> within a patient&#8217;s record<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If endorsing from a Message Centre pool, you will first need to set up access by opting in.<\/li>\n<li>In the event a pool is no longer required, opt out to remove the pool from your list.<\/li>\n<li>If you have opted in to multiple pools, you may wish to set one as the default pool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This guide shows how to Opt In\/Out of pools and how to set a default pool.<\/p>\n<div class=\"guideSection\" id=\"\">How to Opt In to a Pool<\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>From within Powerchart&#8217;s Message Centre, click on the <strong>Pools<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Manage<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15856\" src=\"https:\/\/training.nuth-itt.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/MC-12.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"202\" \/><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Available Pools<\/strong> field, type in your <strong>ward name<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"infoSection\"><i class=\"fa fa-info-circle\" style=\font-size:3rem\"><\/i>  Note: When searching for a ward pool you must start with the location code<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>FH<\/strong> = Freeman Hospital e.g. <strong>FH02<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>RV<\/strong> = Royal Victoria Infirmary e.g. <strong>RV42<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>GNCH<\/strong> = Great North Children&#8217;s Hospital e.g. <strong>GNCH07<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>NCCC<\/strong> = Northern Centre for Cancer Care e.g. <strong>NCCC32<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If enter * into the search field, a list of all pools will be returned. Click on the <strong>drop down arrow<\/strong> by <strong>Default Pool<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>pool<\/strong> to become the default.
