DNACPR Review<\/h1>\n

The guide shows how to record a DNACPR review.<\/p>\n

Instructions <\/div>\n

  1. Open the Patient\u2019s record with DNACPR recorded.<\/li>\n
  2. Start the review process by clicking on Treatment Escalation Plan<\/strong> in the blue menu to open the Advanced Care Planning window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. The date of the previous decision is visible, and the details of the other clinicians involved in the decision, click on DNACPR Review to open the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Complete the DNACPR Review form page details:\n
          \n
        • Review Date.<\/li>\n
        • Original Decision Date.<\/li>\n
        • Reviewer Name.<\/li>\n
        • Reviewer Status.<\/li>\n
        • GMC\/NMC Number.<\/li>\n
        • The DNACPR decision remains appropriate:\n
            \n
          • If decision remains the same, then tick \u201cYes\u201d.<\/li>\n
          • If status needs to be rescinded then select \u201cNo \u2013 revoke the DNACPR, the patient should be for CPR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Click green tick top left-hand side to sign the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Refresh the Treatment Escalation and Resus Status.\n
                  \n
                • Details from the Review form are now visible in the workflow page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  1. Close the Advance Care Planning form and refresh the patient record, the Resus status in
                    \nthe banner bar will:<\/p>\n
                      \n
                    • \u00a0Stay the same if the DNACPR decision remains appropriate, also showing today\u2019s
                      \ndate.<\/li>\n
                    • Will change to \u201cFor CPR\u201d if the decision does not remain appropriate, the date will
                      \nchange to today\u2019s date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                    • Senior Clinician\u2019s will then need to access Document Creation to create an updated DNACPR
