Background<\/div>\n

Procedure for recording a clinical assessment in any virtual (or uncoupled) assessment clinic.\u00a0 The patient will be present during this assessment, with the clinical details acquired sent to a clinician for review after the patient has left.<\/p>\n

A report will be sent to the patient and GP when the data is reviewed, but will not be sent following the initial assessment clinic.<\/p>\n

  1. Open mediSIGHT and find the patient<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click “Create new +” and choose “Assessment”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Set the Visit Assessment Details\n
        \n
      1. Pathway
        <\/i> It is essential to select the correct clinic type.\u00a0 This cannot be changed later.<\/div>
        <\/i> Virtual assessments are only available in some pathways, e.g. Glaucoma, VR, MR and Neuro.<\/div><\/li>\n
      2. Visit Date – date when the patient was in clinic, being assessed)<\/li>\n
      3. Seen by – name of the staff member assessing the patient<\/li>\n
      4. Location – Newcastle Eye Centre > Clinic<\/li>\n
      5. Outpatient<\/li>\n
      6. For review? “Yes”
        <\/i> “Yes”<\/em> flags the assessment for review at a later time by a clinician.\u00a0 It should not be used for face to face clinics.<\/div><\/li>\n
      7. Reviewer – choose the Reviewer Group
        <\/i> Do not assign virtual patients to individual consultants. Ensure that a group is always selected.\u00a0 If you are unsure which group then please speak to the clinical team.<\/div><\/li>\n
      8. Responsible – Lead Consultant, if known<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
