TEP Guide – For CPR<\/h1>\n

User guide for when a\u00a0 clinician is required to complete a TEP form for the patient with a resuscitation status of \u201cFor CPR\u201d.

Instruction<\/div><\/p>\n

  1. Open the Patient record.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on Treatment Escalation Plan<\/strong> in the blue menu to open the Advanced Care Planning window – this is the one place to easily access the latest details and update them.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. From the Treatment Escalation and Resus Status component, click on the + button and select Treatment Escalation Plan and Resuscitation<\/strong> Status to open the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. In the escalation plan page, complete all fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        • What is the resuscitation plan? \u2013 select \u201cFor CPR<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n
        • What is the escalation plan? \u2013 select appropriate plan.<\/li>\n
        • Are there any other specific treatments which would or would not be appropriate
          \nfor this patient? \u2013 these details will pull through and be visible in the workflow page.<\/li>\n
        • Additional Documentation Details.<\/li>\n
        • Is a Mental Capacity Assessment necessary? \u2013 select the appropriate choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Note – You do not need to complete the DNACPR decision page.<\/em><\/p>\n

          1. In the TEP Discussion<\/strong> page, add Treatment Limitation<\/strong> details and document the TEP Discussion.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \n
            1. In Signing<\/strong>, complete signing name, status and GMC\/MNC number details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \"\"<\/p>\n

              1. Click green tick<\/strong> in the top left-hand side of the window to sign the form.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                1. Close and re-open<\/strong> the Advanced Care Planning form to refresh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                    \n
                  • \u00a0Key details from the form are now visible in the workflow page.<\/li>\n
                  • \u00a0Treatment limitations are clearly displayed without needing to open the previously
                    \ncompleted form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    1. The TEP level selected is now visible in the banner bar<\/strong> (you may need to refresh the patient\u2019s chart
