Did you know that you can create a repository of autotext within Fluency Direct? These autotext can be used anywhere including MS Office, Notepad and the Electronic Patient Record’s ad hoc forms, workflow free text fields and both Document Creation and Document Viewing!

\nHow to create autotext<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Press Play <\/strong>on the SpeechMike Pro and say \u201copen commands<\/strong>\u201d.
    \n(Use Play\u2014not Record\u2014when giving commands.)<\/li>\n
  2. Select your personal command group (\u201cYour Firstname Your Surname\u2019s Commands\u201d).<\/li>\n
  3. Click + Add<\/strong> (top right).<\/li>\n
  4. Give the command a name in the format of \u201cInsert <Name><\/strong>\u201d.\n
      \n
    • Keep it simple and easy to pronounce.<\/li>\n
    • Start with a verb (here we have used “insert”), capitalise each word, spell out numbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    • In Steps<\/strong>, choose Text<\/strong>, then enter or dictate your text.<\/li>\n
    • Optional<\/em>: In Details, add a description or set where the command works.<\/li>\n
    • Click Apply<\/strong>, then click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
