How to print a DNACPR form<\/h1>\n

\nThis guide shows how to create and print a new DNACPR form using the Document Creation function in PowerChart. Prior to completing these steps the Treatment Escalation plan must be completed and signed by a senior consultant.<\/p>\n
Print from Document Creation <\/div>\n

Follow these steps to create and print a new DNACPR form.<\/p>\n

  1. Open the patient record and click Document Creation<\/strong> and in the main menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. In the Encounter box ensure the correct encounter<\/strong> for this visit is selected.<\/li>\n
    2. In the Letter Type box select DNACPR-Form.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Click Create.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. The details recorded in the DNACPR form will automatically<\/strong> populate from the patient’s Treatment Escalation Plan.\u00a0 Check this is<\/strong>
        \ncorrect and authorised by a consultant.<\/strong><\/li>\n
      2. On the Details tab<\/strong>\u00a0set the Lead Clinician<\/strong> and Signing Clinician<\/strong> to the authorising consultant<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Click Save and Finalise<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. The screen will refresh and a green bar will display at the bottom. Select click here\u00a0<\/strong>to print a copy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. The document will open in a new window. Click Printer<\/strong> icon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. The \u2018Print\u2019 screen will open. Check the correct colour printer<\/strong> for your area is selected in the \u2018Printer\u2019
