Information<\/div>\n

This guide shows how to change a patient’s GP to an MOD doctor. These instructions also work with SchApptBook<\/strong> \u2013 when you are checking a patient in<\/strong> for their appointment.<\/p>\n

<\/i> These details should only be changed when you are absolutely certain that you have located the correct patient.\u00a0 For example, be mindful of making an error by wrongly correcting a date of birth where father and son have the same name!<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From the Conversation tab, in\u00a0PM Office<\/strong>, select\u00a0Person Correction Manager:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \n
    1. Search for your patient:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      a.\u00a0 \u00a0Using their MRN or NHS Number<\/strong> (If you don\u2019t have a number, use the patient initials and DOB)<\/p>\n

      b.\u00a0 \u00a0Click the Search<\/strong> button<\/p>\n

      c.\u00a0 \u00a0Select the correct<\/strong> patient<\/p>\n

      d.\u00a0 Click\u00a0OK:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. In the Organization window, enter the first letter of the hospital site where the patient will be seen (eg. r for RVI) and click OK:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        \"\"<\/p>\n

        1. Update demographics such as name, telephone number or an incorrect date of birth by over-typing the existing information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

           <\/p>\n

          Update GP Details<\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
          <\/i> The patient GP must be updated to reflect the MOD GP. DO\u00a0 NOT USE “NOTKNOWN MOD DOCTOR” <\/div>\n
            \n
          1. Delete the patient GP and\u00a0click the magnifying glass to search (do not enter data prior to clicking the magnifying glass).<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Type MOD Doctor <\/strong>into the Forename field<\/strong>, leaving the Surname field blank<\/li>\n
            2. Click the Search<\/strong> button<\/li>\n
            3. Select the correct MOD Medical Centre<\/strong><\/li>\n
            4. Select<\/strong> the Organisation<\/li>\n
            5. Click OK:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Click OK\u00a0<\/strong>to update and close the patient record.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
