Ordering from Requests\/Care Plans<\/h1>\n

Scenario<\/div>
\nThis guide will show you how to place an order from the Requests\/Care Plans section of Powerchart.<\/p>\n
Instructions<\/div>\n

  1. Select Requests\/Care Plans<\/strong> from the blue menu on the left side of the patient record.<\/li>\n
  2. Click<\/strong> on the +Add<\/strong> button and a new window will open:

  3. Ensure filter is set to \u2018Contains<\/strong>\u2019 for all searches except x-rays (XR) and scans (CT, US), in which case, you must set filter to \u2018Starts With<\/strong>\u2019 or no results will be found.<\/li>\n
  4. In the search box, type the name<\/strong> or abbreviated name<\/strong> of the order you wish to find:

  5. Click the relevant order<\/strong> in search results. The Ordering Clinician<\/strong> window pops up for non-clinicians.<\/li>\n
  6. Ensure you search for and select the correct Ordering Clinician<\/strong>, then select the appropriate Communication type and click OK:

  7. Click Done<\/strong> in bottom right corner of window.<\/li>\n
  8. Fill in all relevant details<\/strong>.
