These instructions also work with SchApptBook<\/strong> \u2013 when you are checking a patient in<\/strong> for their appointment<\/p>\n

<\/i> These details should only be changed when you are absolutely certain that you have located the correct patient.\u00a0 For example, be mindful of making an error by wrongly correcting a date of birth where father and son have the same name!<\/div>\n

  1. From the Conversation tab, in\u00a0PM Office<\/strong>, select\u00a0Person Correction Manager<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Search for your patient:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      a.\u00a0 \u00a0Using their MRN or NHS Number<\/strong> (If you don\u2019t have a number, use the patient initials and DOB)<\/p>\n

      b.\u00a0 \u00a0Click the Search<\/strong> button<\/p>\n

      c.\u00a0 \u00a0Select the correct<\/strong> patient<\/p>\n

      d.\u00a0 Click\u00a0OK\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. In the Organization window, enter the first letter of the hospital site where the patient will be seen (eg. r for RVI) and click OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Update demographics such as name, telephone number or an incorrect date of birth by over-typing the existing information<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          To update the patient\u2019s home address<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Select the New<\/strong> icon in the Address Organizer<\/strong> field<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Select UK Residence<\/strong> from the Residence field dropdown list, click Address Search<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              \"\"<\/p>\n

              1. Type the patients new Postcode and press the\u00a0Select<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                \"\"<\/p>\n

                  \n
                1. A list of addresses will display with a range of house numbers (check the street name). Highlight the relevant house range then press Select<\/strong> to open up a list of house numbers, again Select<\/strong> the correct address<\/li>\n
                2. Once the QAS Search window is complete with the patients address, press Accept<\/strong> \u2013 click OK <\/strong>to close the search screen<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  1. Click\u00a0OK\u00a0<\/strong>to accept the modification to the patient record<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    1. Click OK <\/b>to save the changes to the patient record<\/li>\n
                    2. Previous address history can be viewed by pressing Previous<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
