Ordering a Lung Function Test on an IP Encounter<\/h1>\n

Scenario<\/div>
\nYour patient has attended hospital as an Inpatient and you need to order a lung function test for them.<\/p>\n
Instructions<\/div>\n

In the patient record in the blue left side menu:<\/p>\n

Either:<\/b><\/p>\n

  • Navigate to your\u00a0Workflow\u00a0<\/strong>tab and select\u00a0New Order Entry:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Or:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Navigate to the Requests\/Care Plans <\/strong>and select\u00a0+<\/strong>Add:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \n
        1. In the Search field, type Lung Function<\/strong><\/li>\n
        2. Click<\/strong> the relevant order in the search results:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          1. If you are using Requests\/Care Plans<\/strong>: after clicking the relevant order, the Orders<\/strong> section of the Requests\/Care Plans area will open (See No. 4). If you are using the Workflow<\/strong>: the order will appear as a numerical icon in the basket\u00a0<\/strong>in the top right of your screen. Click the basket<\/strong>, select the relevant order, and click\u00a0Sign.<\/strong> You will then be transported to a new window (see No. 4 below):<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
