How to record that an IV has been removed and inactivated in PowerChart.

<\/i> Lines MUST be Inactivated after documenting removal<\/strong><\/div><\/p>\n
Instructions<\/div>\n
    \n
  1. Select Adult Lines – Devices<\/strong> via Assessment\/Fluid Balance<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Select Peripheral IV<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Double click the Activity<\/strong> for this line to be removed<\/li>\n
  4. Activity will be Removal<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Document the details of the Removal<\/strong> and sign the document<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Once the document has been signed, right click the name of the line<\/strong><\/li>\n
      2. Select Inactivate<\/strong>, this will inactivate and remove the line from the Assessments\/Fluid Balance view<\/strong> together with all of the Workflow screens\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
